Llansawel Hall is the in place to visit! The monthly market is one of the big range of community activities taking place in the hall, which has its own grounds including a well-equipped children’s playground, a picnic site beside the river Marlais, and a car park.
The market, on the 3rd Saturday of the month, is a good place to buy fresh local vegetables, meats and eggs; bread, savouries and cakes; preserves; and crafts too. Refreshments are served. The market is between 10am and 1pm, and because it’s indoors there’s no need for umbrellas and raincoats.
Llansawel is on the B4337 road from Edwinsford to Llanybydder, a couple of miles north of Edwinsford. Coming into Llansawel from the south, see the Angel pub on the right, turn right, passing the Black Lion pub also on the right. The entrance to the village hall is just past the Black Lion, on the left, before the bridge over the river Marlais.
